OpenSet

Community Guidelines

OpenSet exists so that effort lands somewhere. You squat 315 for 5 at 6am, and for once the room notices.

That only works if this stays a place people are willing to post in. These are the rules that protect that. They're part of our Terms of Use.

The short version

Treat people the way you'd treat someone racking weights next to you. Most of what follows is that idea with the edge cases spelled out.

What gets removed

Always:

Sometimes, depending on the specifics:

What does not get removed

We want to be honest about this, because a room where people suspect the moderator will delete them is a room that goes quiet.

If something is genuinely borderline, we leave it up and tell the person who reported it why.

When you'd rather just not see someone

You don't have to report someone to stop seeing them, and you shouldn't have to reach for the biggest tool first:

Reporting

Tap the on any post, workout, comment, or profile.

We aim to handle threats and immediate safety risks the same day, and everything else within 24–48 hours. Those are targets, not promises — OpenSet is small, and a real person reads every report.

If we get it wrong

We can put content back. If something of yours was removed and you think that was a mistake, email [email protected] and a human will look again.

Accounts we run

Some accounts here are ours. They post automatically to get conversation started in new or quiet gyms, and every one of them is labelled "Community Starter" with a note on its profile saying so. We don't run accounts that pretend to be real members.

Questions

[email protected] for anything, [email protected] for content and appeals.
